What you’re getting yourself into:

The Bearded Idealist is a site about following Christ, absurd humor, and on a good day- beards.  Posts are delivered 2-3 times a week and are typically pretty lighthearted, but every so often you’ll run into some serious stuff.

How to connect with thebeardedidealist.com:

True story-  9 out of 10 readers prefer the “subscribe by email” option, which you’ll find conveniently located at the top-right of this page.  Some other noble souls have chosen to follow through their facebook accounts using the Networked Blogs widget, which you’ll also find in the sidebar (the one with the pictures of all the extra intelligent looking people).

Extra Terrestrial:

Probably not real.  I haven’t done any personal research, but I watched Independence Day with Will Smith and I’m pretty sure he did away with life on other planets.  (Random factoid- Will Smith also starred in the Men In Black trilogy, iRobot, and I Am Legend.  If I’m wrong and there really are aliens -or robot zombies-, I think we know who to bring in for questioning.)

I just realized that the beard in your banner has the same lips as you.
Weird to be talking about another dude’s lips? Probably.
    But a clever connection, nonetheless.
    Keep doing what you do.

      Ha, thanks for noticing D.A.
That’s quite astute of you. That’s actually a sketch my wife did, so yep, they’re my lips.

So, is the length of the beard in the sketch and indication of what your wife would like to see in the future?

Ha, I’m pretty sure! She has been known to hide my beard trimmer in the past.
